The hosts, Bhakti, Pushpa, and Umanga, treated us like their own family members, going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They provided us with valuable information and even arranged a safe and reliable driver, Manju, for our excursions. Pushpa's cooking skills are exceptional, surpassing any top restaurant. The spacious and comfortable room, along with the spotless and large bathroom, made us feel right at home. We truly cherished our time with this incredible family.
For dads, it would be great to have some outdoor play area for the children.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The service was extremely friendly and the staff spoke great English. They helped me organize activities in the city as well as my onward travel. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. I was pleased to find a kettle and hairdryer in the room. The location was also convenient - just a short walk to the lake and some local restaurants. It was also within walking distance of the main attractions in the city, or a quick tuk-tuk ride away. The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff went out of their way to accommodate my dietary preferences. I had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing to be said.

I had the most amazing experience at Temple View. The host, Umanga, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and ensure I had an unforgettable stay. He took me to hidden gems and unique places that I would have never discovered on my own. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The location was also perfect, with stunning views of the city of Kandy. The warmth and hospitality of the Simon family made me feel like part of their own family. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I will definitely be back on my next visit. I highly recommend this hotel for an exceptional and immersive Sri Lankan experience.

We loved the warm welcome and the homestay experience at Temple View. The family made us feel like part of their own and the room had a stunning view of the lake. Bhakti and Umanga were both very knowledgeable and engaging, and we enjoyed chatting with them. The local food prepared by the mother was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for those who want an authentic interaction with a local family.
We felt truly looked after during our stay at Temple View. Nothing was too much trouble for the family.

The value for money at Temple View was great and the room was clean and spacious. The location was convenient, close to the city center and train station. The staff, especially Umanga, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made breakfast better was the variety of food options available.

the warm hospitality of the owner and his family made me feel right at home. We had insightful conversations about Sri Lankan culture and history, and the owner's son was especially knowledgeable. the breakfasts were a delightful surprise every morning, and I even had a few delicious dinners there. the room had a cozy and personal touch with lovely decorations, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. I had my own toilet with a sink across the hall, and the shared shower arrangement with the family was not a problem as they communicated their shower times. They also arranged a fantastic day trip around Kandy with a friendly tuktuk driver who even helped us mail parcels to Europe. I hope to keep in touch with them!
Can't fault anything about it. 😊.

Mind-blowing experience with an extraordinary family who made us feel like part of their own. The father, Simon, gave us fascinating insights about Kandy and Sri Lanka, while the mother, Pushpa, cooked delicious meals. The spacious room had a comfortable bed, strong wifi, and lacked nothing. Their hospitality and knowledge of Sri Lankan culture made our trip complete. The homestay is not in the city center, but within walking distance to the lake and town. We loved every moment with this amazing family! Thank you!
